Martin and Carol - April 3 2009

What an amazing experience it was to see Martin and Carol get married.
It was important to them to include some of their native Kenyan wedding traditions which meant this wedding was full of colour, singing, fun and laughter.

Martin's best man, along with the women from his family came to ask for Carol's hand at the house where she was getting ready. They did this by chanting songs for at least 1/2 hour outside (apparently this can last for hours in a traditional ceremony in Kenya.) Once Carol made her way out of the house, the women made a walkway of colourful fabrics - traditionally the bride would take these with her to her new home with her husband.

The ceremony took place at the Waterview Function Centre in Bicentennial Park, Homebush. This is such an amazing location and we would highly recommend this to anyone. We found some great locations around the park after the ceremony and we were so lucky with the weather - the afternoon light was perfect!

Carol and Martin's friends and family were such fun people and we felt blessed being able to capture such a great wedding.

Enjoy the pics!

We wish them all the best for their future,

Angie xx
